Purpose
Classify facilities by the type of chemicals in use and storage in order to determine applicable building code and safety standards.

Impact on Campus Community
All new and rennovated facilities must be classified according to their use and storage of hazrdous chemicals.

Departments applying for a building permit must complete an inventory University Building Code Division will asure regulator compliance Environmental Health and Safety will provide classification information and assist the University Building Code Division in evaluation
