Hazardous Waste Batteries

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency prohibits the disposal of waste batteries in the trash. Please place all waste batteries in this container so they may be handled in accordance with all applicable regulations.

Types of batteries accepted: Alkaline, Zinc-Carbon, Lithium, Silver Oxide, Mercuric Oxide, Nickel-Cadmium, Zinc-Air, Silver-Zinc, Small Lead Acid Gel-Cells and other small batteries.

Note: Large batteries such as Lead Acid Automotive Batteries must be internally manifested separately. To properly pack a Lead Acid Battery for shipment, the battery should be placed in a sturdy box, lined with plastic.
