Free Chemicals
You may order chemicals (that are currently in stock) for free, to use in any University of Minnesota research or work related activities. The Department of Environmental Health and Safety (DEHS) redistributes commonly-used chemicals that have been collected from other University departments that no longer need or use the substances.
The chemicals have been carefully inspected and catalogued, and DEHS has taken every precaution to ensure their quality. The products are distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
Currently In-Stock Chemicals
Any chemical that is currently in stock can be ordered. The current Free Chemicals Inventory is available in the PDF format (updated 9/06). You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this file. It is available for free from the Adobe website.
