Storm Water Management
Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) Grant:
Requests for Student Project Proposals
The University of Minnesota has been awarded a grant by the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) to promote water quality education on our Twin Cities campus. This grant will be used to fund three student projects.
These projects will be used to educate the student community about the connection between individual actions and the water quality of the Mississippi River – specifically as it is impacted by stormwater. The goal is to educate University students about stormwater pollution, why it matters, and what they can do about it. The project should reach out to other students their "here and now" as they move throughout campus in their daily life, but also call to what they can do in the future to minimize their impact on the environment.
For the completion of their projects, the selected students will receive a stipend to cover the cost of any materials used on the project as well as to incentivize professional product development.
The three projects are as follows:
- A 2-4 minute video: https://z.umn.edu/Video_RFP
- A tabletop display: https://z.umn.edu/TableDisplay_RFP
- Construction site banner templates: https://z.umn.edu/BannerTemplate_RFP
