Operator Maintenance

Follow manufacturer's recommendations for routine maintenance and:

Each run:

• Before loading, check the interior chamber drain to be sure it is not clogged.
• Check that door gaskets seal properly.

Weekly:

• Flush drain with clean water to assure that drain is not clogged and to remove any impurities in the drain from salt solutions, media, etc.

Monthly:

• Test for efficiency using spore strip or 3M Comply (Thermalog) chemical integrator strip for immediate test results. 3M Comply is available from U Stores (CX12607). Place indicator in center of a typical load.

For autoclaves with steam generators (not hooked up to steam line), follow manufacturers' instructions for regular maintenance.
